Subject: Lange loss hits Club Brugge hard

Club Brugge are preparing to play the first half of the 2005/06
campaign without Norway striker Rune Lange after he was ruled out for
up to six months.

Long lay-off
The 28-year-old, who struck 15 goals in 32 league games last season,
will have surgery today on a persistent calf injury and will be in
plaster for six weeks before beginning his recovery. It means he will
miss the Champions League third qualifying round next month and, almost
certainly, the entire group stage should the Belgian champions progress.

Price paid
"This is a shock," said Lange. "I didn't think it would be so bad,
especially as I was still able to walk. I am paying the price for the
end of last season, when I forced myself to play because the
championship and cup final were at stake. I hope I can play some
matches before the new year, but to be honest I am aiming for the
second half of the season."

Damn, here goes our best striker :(

Subject: Adams goes Dutch

Arsenal's former captain and centre-half Tony Adams is relishing the
prospect of starting work with Feyenoord's youngsters after accepting
a coaching role with the Rotterdam club.

The ex-England defender will join the staff in charge of Jong
Feyenoord next season.

He is aiming to develop his coaching career following an unsuccessful
spell as manager of English side Wycombe Wanderers.

Adams said: "I have spent a few months in Italy, France and Belgium
to orientate a bit and I could have started working in all those
countries.

"I could also have become a coach in England, but nowhere did I get
such a good feeling after talks with the club management as at
Feyenoord."

Feyenoord appear as optimistic as Adams does about the move.
Technical director Mark Wotte said: "I think that Adams will be of
great value for our youth programme, looking at his career.

"If after a while we see that we can mean a lot for each other, a
longer engagement is a real possibility."

************************

That's a surprise move :s
