Bears fed chocolate

Bears in Romania are being fed chocolate to keep them away from local
villages.

The bears wander into villages and raid bins where they eat leftover
sweets and chocolate.

They also terrorise residents and attack livestock, reports Romanian
daily Cotidianul.

The local hunters' association in the Covasna region has now started
mixing chocolate into animal feed and distributing it in forests.

They hope the bears won't need to come into the villages if they can
satisfy their cravings in the woods.

Laszlo Bela, head of the Covasna Hunters' Association, said: "We hope
we will not have any more problems with the bears.

"They cause havoc when they are hungry. Not long ago, they ate four
horses, a cow and several sheep in a village.

"They seem to like chocolate however, so we are hoping this measure
will help keep them in the woods.

***********************************************************

Idiot Romanians! Haven't they learned anything from the Cold War?
You round up all the bears, make them dig a ditch and shoot them in
the back of the head (where they will naturally fall into the graves
they dug, saving you a lot of trouble)!

£7,000 left on homeless woman's lap

A homeless woman woke up outside a train station in Poland to find
almost £7,000 on her lap.

The money was in an envelope with a note saying it was "for the
homeless".

The woman, nicknamed 'Grandma' by locals, was shocked to find 41,000
zlotys 'on her lap when she woke up after spending a night at Warsaw
Central train station.

But she did not believe the money was meant for her and went straight
to a local police station to hand it in.

Police say they will try to find out where the money came from but
will give it back to the old woman if they are unable to trace its
original owners, local media reported.

I'd blow it all on blow jobs. :))

Driver fined for 'having a face like a moron'

A Romanian traffic cop has been demoted after he fined a driver
for "having a face like a moron and being a big monkey".

Marius Vlasceanu pulled over Gheorghe Tosa as he drove through
Craiova in Romania, local daily Jurnalul National reported.

But Tosa failed to see the funny side as Vlasceanu fined him £22 and
handed him a ticket explaining the reason for the fine was "having a
face like a moron and being a big monkey".

Head of the Romanian police Dan Fatuloiu said Vlasceanu, who claimed
he had handed out the fine as a joke, had been demoted
for "inappropriate behaviour and defaming the police force".

He has now been given a desk job in a remote village.

I think every Romanian should get a medal :))

Football boss gives club away

The boss of a Romanian football club has given it away for free
because he says he's fed up with people laughing at him.

Dinel Staicu, owner of second division Universitatea Craiova, sent
the ownership papers to the local council.

He enclosed a letter saying: "May you have more luck with it than I
have, I am fed up with the whole business, it is no fun losing all
the time and being the butt of everybody's jokes and abuse."

Staicu, who has owned the club for seven years, said the fans had
been on his back since his side was relegated to the second division -
after 42 years in the first division.

He added: "It has got so bad that I have now handed everything to do
with Universitatea Craiova, including the players, to the local
council for nothing."

This one's got Real Andorra written all over it :))
That team's actually quite well known, I'd even heard of it before.

Fulham stars get confused

A player liaison officer at Premiership side Fulham has revealed he
has had some strange requests from players.

Mark Maunders says he was asked by French defender Alain Goma why his
goldfish was swimming in the wrong direction.

On another occasion Mark was called to help the club's French
midfielder Fabrice Fernandes, 25 - who complained that he kept waking
in the morning with a wet head.

When he investigated he found the star was sleeping by a window that
was left open when it rained.

Mark also had to rescue Latvian star Andrejs Stolcers, 30, from
London Underground's Lost Property department.

According to The Sun quoting FourFourTwo magazine he said: "His bag
was gone and he'd lost his passport, wallet and keys. I had to
collect him, take him home, give him some cash, cancel his cards and
change all the locks on all his doors. He was helpless."

***************************************************************

And these guys make *how* much money?

Man pays £1,150 library fine

A US man has paid a library fine worth £1,150 after returning a book
he borrowed in 1981.

Joel Schlesinger, of New York state, could have got away with the
maximum fine of $15, reports the Buffalo News.

But he decided it was only fair that he paid for all the time he had
the book and worked out the full fine himself.

He handed the Orchard Park public library with the copy of The Joy of
Camping - and a cheque for $2,190.

Mr Schlesinger, who now lives in northern New Jersey, said he came
across the book while going through boxes in his attic.

He called the library and admitted: "I have a book that's overdue -
really, really overdue."

Library director Ann Laubacker admitted she didn't know if she would
ever see the money.

"When I got off the phone, I said I don't know if this was a crank
call or not," she said.

All these stories of money being thrown around.... HELLO??

Semen moisturiser big in Mexico

A face moisturiser made out of semen has been launched in Mexico.

Porn star Lyn May, who is in her sixties, is behind the company
producing the cream.

Mrs May swears that the Semen moisturizer is capable of erasing
wrinkles and leaves skin soft.

She told Las Ultimas Noticias: "I select attractive young man and pay
them for their semen that is mixed with honey and oats to create the
moisturiser."

Extreme accounting

Extreme accounting is the latest - and unlikeliest - adrenaline sport

Accountants visit challenging locations like mountain tops, seabeds,
caves and rollercoasters.

And, inspired by the extreme ironing craze, they take their work with
them, reports the Sun.

South African Keet Van Zyl is the sport's reigning champion.

A spokesman for the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting
said: "It's a phenomenon that pushes accountants to their limits - and
beyond."
